Harmony Twp. President Resigns Following District Attorney’s Lawsuit

The president of the Harmony Township Board of Commissioners resigned from office during a public meeting Thursday night.

Bradley Payne’s resignation came in response to a lawsuit filed by District Attorney David Lozier seeking to have him removed from office because of a prior felony conviction. Under Pennsylvania law, convicted felons are unable to hold public office.

Payne was in the third year of a second four-year term as an elected Harmony commissioner.
